AbandonwareThe Neverhood
Waking up in an unknown room in the world of Neverhood, Klaymen must explore the surroundings to uncover what's going on, why there are so few inhabitants around and why the heck most fauna is either out to eat or destroy him.
The Neverhood is a classic point and click puzzle game with emphasis obscure clues, long-winded corridors and vague hints. The story has biblical undertones with good and bad characters, while Klaymen has the option to later decide which side should prevail.
The game is portrayed entirely in clay and using stop-motion animation which was highly ambitious and unique at the time of release. Thanks to support from Steven Spielberg's new company at the time, DreamWorks Interactive, the game got enough funding for development. In total over 3 tons of clay was used to realize all the structures, figures and environments.
