A story-driven, lighthearted action platformer that features two protagonists, each with their different stories and background. Rue, a swordsman with amnesia who seeks to revive an old dead friend and the banished princess Mint who seeks to conquer the world.

The game takes place mainly in the city Carona and its surrounding areas and also acts as a hub inbetween missions. Combat differs for the two characters, where Rue mainly uses his sword and can transform into defeated enemies, Mint is a magic-user and attacks with her rings and various magic attacks that can be customized.

Character stats are mainly governed by strength, health, mana and defense and can only be increased through either combat or buying rather expensive upgrades for them at the wizard's shop. Defeated enemies drop health and mana, and are the only ways of recovering those outside of the city. Coins can be collected through the adventure that allows to continue if defeated, however they are limited in use.
