AbandonwareA side-scrolling beat 'em up loosely based on the tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round. Take up arms as one of three legendary knights - Arthur, Lancelot, or Percival - each with their own unique abilities and weapons. Together, embark on a quest to defeat evil forces, overthrow the evil king Garibaldi and unite Britain! The road there won't be easy though, as evil knights, petty tyrants and sinister sorcerers dish out the darkest trials that evil can muster. Defeat them all to reclaim the grail and you may assume your rightful place as a Knight of the Round!
Typical to beat 'em ups of the time, each character has a special action, called desperation move, which attacks in a larger sweeping pattern to damage more enemies at ones. The flipside is that this costs health every time it's used. There are also horses that can be used to attack enemies on horseback which unlock extended movesets alongside the ability to move about the stage quicker. Characters also gain experience points and level up through the course of the game, changing their appearances and donning improved armor. The game supports up to 3 players simultaneously on the Arcade version and 2 in the SNES version.
