Welcome to the CIA! You think life in the CIA is easy, just because you are a rookie? Think again. As an agent your tasks are to provide high quality intelligence that's objective and unbiased. First, however, you must prove your worth by doing some standard field work like satelitte imagery and combat field tests. However, when a rogue sniper kills your instructor, only known as Harmonica, things rapidly gets set in motion. CIA puts you headfirst into the investigation of a faceless enemy and a high-level assassination plot.
As you progress, you learn that the true nemesis is "Mirage" who is the mastermind behind the organization known as Procat. As you delve deeper, the plot thickens and you need to grow up as an agent fast.
The game offers varied tools for both aid and vary gameplay. For instance the KAT (Kennedy Assassination Tool) is used to pan observation cameras and plot bullet trajectories, sound and voice recognition, emails and online libraries to comb through. And, true to the 90s, there's also your trusty PDA to help in your mission.
Features heavy use of FMV from an ansemble of famous actors with a strong and believable plot provides an authentic feel of an interactive thriller spanning across continents and countries. Even former CIA director William Colby and his KGB opposite, Oleg Kalugin, assisted with intel on how real espionage and "the great game" actually is. They also make their appearances in the game.
